In the world of automotive enthusiasts it common to race anything they can. Being that off-road racing has been around for many decades, UTV’s quickly became a part of the race after they were brought to the market. With owners upgrading their UTV as they would a vehicle, the aftermarket support began growing.
A major part of the machine most owners overlook is the braking system. It is essential to have an efficient brake distribution and force to stop in the shortest amount of distance. Bigger tires can improve braking distance slightly but does not solve the main issue at hand.
Brakes are known to get hot and cause fading which means the brakes lose friction against the rotor. Our customer installed the Agency Power big brake kit in the pronounced Monster Green finish on their Can-Am X3 to combat the poor heat dissipation from the factory and cut stopping distances nearly in half.
Featuring 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors the Agency Power kit provides an additional three-inches of rotor surface. This allows for higher heat dissipation and more surface area for the caliper to clamp. Increasing clamping force was achieved with the four-piston calipers included with the kit.
Each caliper was specifically designed for the X3 to double the stopping capabilities and improve overall safety. Delivering top of the line stopping force, it was an easy choice to go with the Agency Power big brake kit.
