The Honda Civic Type R is a race-inspired hatchback that is seemingly popular among automotive enthusiasts, and for good reason. This hot hatch was designed and engineered to deliver impressive performance, wildly functional aerodynamics, and devilishly good looks from the exterior to the cockpit. One thing’s for sure is that the Type R certainly makes a powerful statement and is the ultimate embodiment of the Japanese automaker’s racing legacy.
With that being said, the aftermarket offers a wide range of parts and accessories for the track-ready sports car. Our customer Chase Tang (IG: @carkeke) is no stranger to these possibilities as he treated his 2019 Honda Civic Type R to some impressive goodies ranging from wheels to aero parts and underhood upgrades. One of those modifications was an Invidia R400 Gemini Exhaust, which not only sounds incredible and looks great at the rear but delivers noticeable improvements in power and performance.

The Invidia R400 exhaust is specifically designed to fill the sound gap between the Q300 and N1 system. The R400 produces a unique, aggressive note without any harsh cabin noise (especially at highway speeds). It offers a rich soundtrack that enhances the natural tone of the Type R’s turbocharged engine with a high-flow design to ensure efficient exhaust flow for optimum engine performance.
This system is made from 1.5mm thick smooth mandrel-bent tubing to greatly reduce the risk of cracks and breaks, thus minimizing rasp and vibration. The R400 exhaust includes cast flanges for precise fitment and durability and is machine welded for uniform strength and a stunning appearance. At the rear, it spotlights triple straight cut burnt blue tips for that added sporty appeal.
