Vivid Racing is a big name in the Audi/VW market and we’ve had our fair share of these cars. Volkswagen’s turbocharged engines are well known for responding terrifically to simple modifications. A turbocharger works by pushing more air inside of the engine. If you can feed the turbocharger more air, it can push more of it into the intake. This is exactly how an aftermarket intake increases horsepower. This particular B8 A4 was equipped with a K&N Typhoon Intake. K&N is a huge name in the aftermarket intake market, so we expected pretty solid gains from their A4 cold air intake system.
In addition to the cold air intake, we installed a Forge Motorsports BOV Kit to give this A4 more sound. If you’re driving a turbocharged car, then you want to be able to hear all those awesome turbo sounds. After installing every, the A4 was strapped to the dyno for testing purposes. These parts were sold and installed by our Columbian representatives, Vivid Racing Columbia.
