Bringing JDM Styling to one of most Famous German hot Hatches
The R32 was created during a very interesting time for the Volkswagen brand. The Mk4 Chassis brought the company out of a decade long decline and allowed them to re-establish their name. The success of this platform allowed for VW to create a special performance model dubbed the R32.
In previous generations Volkswagen offered the GTI as their “Premium Sport” Golf model, but now they have revealed a new performance beast. The R32 used the 3.2l Vr6 engine and a Haldex controlled AWD system. This was one of the first performance oriented all wheel drive VW sent to the US. Even though it only came with about 250BHP, the sound of the VR6 and driving experience is what sealed the deal for most owners.
This particular vehicle is owned by @therealswiper. As you can tell, his Deep Blue Pearl Mk4 R32 is far from stock. This street / track build has a lot of quality mods done to it to improve upon the factory components. His most recent addition was a set of Bride Seats and Bride seat rails.
