Capristo Carbon Fiber Engine Hood
The engine hood or engine bonnet for the 458 Spider is fully engineered, designed and manufactured by CAPRISTO. Made of 90% Carbon Fiber and 10% Glass, the hood is manufactured in true German draftsmanship, and living up to the CAPRISTO “savoir-faire”.
Capristo Front Carbon Wings
The Capristo carbon fiber front wings are a high visibility item. Because of this, Capristo have taken taken care in ensuring continuity in the carbon fiber;s weave direction. The left and right sides follow the same direction.
As with all Capristo carbon products, the front wings are made from 100% carbon fiber which requires no modification during installation. Both wings are finished off with a clear lacquer coating, which is then polished to a brilliant shine.
The Capristo carbon fiber rear diffuser for the Ferrari 458 Italia has been made in the autoclave to make the part as light as possible, and this process saves about 9 lb and 14.73 oz off of the factory parts. Contrary to many other manufacturers who just use a combination of glass fiber and carbon, Capristo uses only 100% full carbon in everything they produce.
In case of accidental damage, the strakes or ;fins; of the diffuser can be purchased separately as replacement items. As with all Capristo carbon parts, mounting holes and points are made during manufacturing, so there is no need for drilling or measuring during installation. The diffuser is then finished off with a clear lacquer and polished to a brilliant shine.
Capristo Headers w/ Heat Protectors
Eliminating the manufacturers exhaust manifold and adding a set of performance exhaust headers is the best way to reduce power robbing back pressure from your cars engine. These newly designed Ferrari 459 headers are built to give each cylinder its own exhaust tube to vent through. This design eliminates the back-pressure and gives your cars engine a great boost in power. These stainless headers were carefully developed along with each exhaust system to provide optimal performance.
Capristo established that too much heat was released from the components of the exhaust system into the engine department. For this reason and as part of its exhaust development for the 458, Capristo developed heat protecting shields with more efficiency than the stock parts providing an increase performance lost from heat soak.
