Enough with the drawings, enough with the sponsors, enough with the talk. Where is the freaking car! I hear that from friends, vendors, and even Pepsi. Well, shut up, the car is here. So lets rock!
We have every single part here for that bad boy as seen in our preview drawings. We have been inspired and in constant awe of our Japanese counterparts. It is now time for us to begin the dissassembly and assembly of one of the biggest projects of the year, we introduce to you, Project Vivid Racing Pepsi Mazda RX8 – DAY 1.
The car arrived by a killer dude named Lance. Lance drives Formula D cars, OEM cars, and other cool toys. He knows what others desire. While chatting he unloaded the silver RX8 for us to begin the transformation. You learn things from the must unexpected people. We rolled the car in back and begin our first stage on day 1. Our first task was to strip the car down. We removed the entire interior. This included the door panels, seats, rear panels, and center console. Our next step was to put it on the lift and remove the wheels and tires as well as begin going after the engine.
After 3 hours the entire inside was stripped and we had made progress on the engine. The long awaited build was underway and we were stoked. Stay tuned for Day 2 where we begin the suspension and brakes!
