When the BMW M2 hit the market, it sparked controversy over its unconventional styling. Despite the car putting on some weight compared to the previous generation, the new M2 remains the smaller and ‘more chuckable’ M car. With the same chassis and powerplant as the G80 M3 / G82 M4, there are already numerous modifications available. We recently got this BMW here at Vivi Racing HQ to install a Valvetronic Designs Valved Sport Exhaust System, H&R VTF Adjustable Lowering Springs, VR Tuned ECU Tuning Box, and some RW Carbon Aero pieces!
We treated this BMW G87 M2 to a Valvetronic Designs Valved Sport Exhaust System, which sounds great coming out of the S58 Twin Turbo Inline 6 engine. Valvetronc Design is an American manufacturer of some of the greatest systems on the market that boast the best of both worlds: soundtrack and performance. There are not many brands out there who can claim to have an exhaust that looks the part, sounds the part, and performs it all the same. The Valvetronic Design exhaust for the G87 produces an aggressively sporty tone with minimal effect on drivability and cabin noise all while looking great and producing impeccable power. To complement the newfound power from the exhaust system, we went on to do a VR Tuned ECU Tuning box on this BMW to truly take it to the next level.
The last upgrade on our list is none other than the H&R VTF Adjustable Lowering Springs. This package was made for the BMW G8X M2/M3/M4 to deliver optimal results. Lowering ranges are possible between 1.4 – 1.75inch in the front and 1.4 – 1.8inch in the rear. The H&R Adjustable Lowering Springs are a solid alternative to conventional ones so you no longer have to be “stuck” with a fixed ride height. With the H&R Height Adjuster, you can lower and raise the G87’s suspension even after the system has been installed.Not only do you get a more dynamic stance with these springs, but you also get a more enhanced driving experience with improved performance, better steering behavior/response, and more agile stock dampers.
