There are a couple premier names when it comes to racing and safety components. One of those is Recaro. Recaro Automotive has created some of the most legendary racing seats ever for the motorsports community. The best of the best is the Recaro Podium seat. This full carbon fiber bucket seat is not only FIA approved for the real racers, but it will dramatically change the interior of your car. For our Project Porsche 964, we wanted to put these high-end seats inside to replace the older and outdated mismatch Recaro seats that came with it when we bought it.
We opted to go for the Recaro Podium seat with the red leather trim and black suede material. this is a more pricey seat with a retail of about $4300 per side not including hardware. The seats are available in a Large or Medium with the only difference in the seat is the thickness of the pads. The carbon fiber shell is the same dimensions and a perfect fit for most Porsche and other Japanese and Euro tuner cars. Besides weighing only 13lbs per seat which is a huge weight savings over stock, these seats are actually quite comfortable to drive in.
