The Vivid Racing Project EVO VIII has owned the EVO market and proved yet again that VR’s marketing machine, incredible vehicle building, and rare parts selection is still number one. Now that the EVO VIII is being offer for sale at the time of this article…the car will either be on the streets dominating with another owner or parted out to its original state.
Like all our project cars we try to document all our parts installs in a fun manner, not to bore you to death with technical jargon. Modifying vehicles is suppose to be fun and with our antics and stories, we hope you have enjoyed another VR build. We think we got everything important, but probably missed a couple of steps. But don’t worry…the legacy will always be remembered.
As a VRSM viewer, if you ever have questions about the project, the parts, or our company, you can always contact us directly at 1-866-44-VIVID x290 for answers.
i wish my 8 looked as sexy as this one!
Wish my 86 looked that nice.
did you guys ever sell this beast?
This was sold back in 2004 or 05 to a guy in Ohio that then sold it to a guy from the east coast. Here is the car now – https://www.vividracing.com/forums/gallery/browseimages.php?c=2&userid=11306
I remember seeing that car when you guys were at the old place. And that beautiful red WRX.
I was at the old shop the day it got loaded onto a trailer for the new owner. I wanted to cry [cry2]
I just purchased the car today ( seriously ) I bought it from an independent wholeseller in PA. Apparantly the guy that owned it ran into some financial trouble and the bank proceeded to take it back. Regardless of past owners…..It is now coming BACK to ohio and to the hands of someone thats definately going to take great care of it. Just wanted to let you guys know.
Also if theres any info you guys at vivid can give me I would really appreciate it. I want to find all of the old magazines this thing is in so I can have them framed also. If someone wants to contact me directly instead of over the forum. My name is jai, and my cell number is 419 787 4499. Thanks guys and Ill be sure to get pictures when it gets here and into my hands.
Sweet! Congrats. Just email me what ever parts you need or info !
Even though it seems a little dated, the car has such good lines and looks so aggressive. I’d love to get my hands on one today…so raw, and you don’t have to deal with all of the electronics and other parts that limit the ability to flat out tune.
