Although the MK3 Focus RS is one of the most exciting “hot hatch” vehicles to come out in a very long time, the aftermarket can almost always make it better. Ford put a lot of time and effort into the suspension of the RS, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. The Stage 1 Control package consists of lowering springs, sway bars, and sway bar bushings. The springs have an improved spring rate compared to the stock units, and lower the front by 0.7” and the rear by 1.1”. This will give your RS a more even stance and a lower center of gravity, resulting in better handling. The springs are powder coated orange to give them a great look and great durability.
The sway bars are designed to reduce body roll during cornering without affecting the movement of the car during braking or acceleration. The aFe sway bars are slightly stiffer than the stock sway bars, and the rear features a two-way adjustment. This will help you fine-tune how your RS handles.
