Although AWE is best known for their Audi/VW exhaust products, they have been aggressively branching out into the JDM and USDM areas, offering products for a very wide range of vehicles. Today, they pushed further into the JDM market with their 2015+ WRX and STI exhaust lineup. Both the WRX and STI version will be available in Touring or Track Editions, and the STI’s Touring Edition features AWE’s proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®, tuned specifically for the EJ25.

Like other AWE exhaust systems, these WRX and STI exhausts are designed and built in-house at AWE, in the USA. By tuning the Touring Edition exhaust, AWE made sure the STI exhaust system didn’t drone. The reason the EJ25 drones so much is due to its unequal length headers which give it that “Boxer Rumble” everyone loves. The FA20DIT in the 2015+ WRX uses equal length header that doesn’t cause nearly as much drone, allowing the WRX to go without the 180 Technology mufflers.
