As the BMW M3 has gotten larger and larger over time, enthusiasts have been craving for another small M car. When BMW released the M2, enthusiasts, included us, fell in love with it. We actually just built one recently for SEMA that featured a whole bunch of Agency Power carbon fiber parts that weren’t available to the public at the time. Since then Agency Power has completely finished developing these parts and they’re now available to the public. These parts consist of a double or single sided carbon fiber hood, and a double or single sided CSL style trunk.
Back when BMW released the M3 CSL, pretty much everyone fell in love with the style of the trunk. Since then many BMW enthusiasts have installed CSL style trunks on their cars. The CSL style trunk features a large, built-in duckbill style wing which not only looks awesome but should also provide downforce at high speeds. The single-sided version of this trunk uses a lightweight composite on the underside and carbon fiber on the top side. This helps keep cost down while still providing a lightweight design. For the enthusiasts who want nothing but the best, Agency Power has the dual-sided version. This version uses carbon fiber on both the top and bottom part of the trunk for the strongest and most lightweight construction possible.
With the release of the E9X M3, BMW introduced a large bulge in the hood. Once again many BMW enthusiasts fell in love with how this looked, and now tons of 3-series owners have an aftermarket budged hood on their car. Agency Power incorporated this bulge into their design as well as three large vents which will help extract heat from inside the engine bay. This will lower intake air temperatures, coolant temperatures, and help prevent heat soaking. Just like the trunk, the hood is available in a single-sided and dual-sided version.
We featured these parts, as well as a ton of other Agency Power aero parts on the M2 we built for SEMA. Not only will these parts help reduce the weight of your M2 and keep engine temperatures under control, they look absolutely amazing.
