One of the best parts of a turbocharged engine is how tuner friendly they are. Naturally-aspirated engines benefit from bolt-on modifications, but not nearly as much as turbocharged engines do. Nissan’s 1.6L turbo engine under the hood of the Sentra is no different. Injen is best known for their intake systems, but they also produce other budget-friendly products like cat-back exhaust systems.
Just recently they got done developing their new 2017+ Sentra turbo cat-back exhaust. This new exhaust uses a 60mm/2.25” design with a relatively small muffler for increased sound. The increased piping diameter allows the exhaust gases to flow more freely which results in an 8hp and 6 ft-lb increase.
The exhaust system is compromised of mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel with a 3.5” single wall rolled polished tip. Injen designed this system to increase the volume of your exhaust without creating the dreaded exhaust drone. If you want a cheap way to make your Sentra more powerful and sound better, this is a great way to do so.
