There is only 3 days left before we have to haul our Project WRX III up to Sin City for the industries largest spectacle as we know it. The 2007 SEMA show should dissappoint none of us. With one of the first 2008 WRX wagons we wanted to show that this so-so looking car could be come a show stopper!
Normally you just make calls, get some parts together, slap on some stickers, and say, Here we are! Well this year we wanted to make a return and be remembered. Being featured in the Cusco/Nukabe booth at SEMA, it was time to turn the heat up. In conjunction with Agency Power (Agency Power – Racing Parts Store) and AFI (AFI Turbo), Vivid Racing has some surprises.
Our egg has been transformed with a variety of all new releases for this 2008 model. Agency Power has outfitted the car with a prototype titanium tip exhaust (production soon), crank pulley, fuel rails, oil cap, radiator hoses, radiator shroud, pitch stop mount, and debuting their all new fully adjustable rear control arms, toe arms, and rear sway bar links. With all this fancy billet parts, we needed some sick power!
Hiding in the dark about to creep up on the world is a company here in Arizona called AFI. Vivid Racing teamed up with AFI so they could build us an all new turbo kit, front mount intercooler, and insane intake plenum. The turbo kit features an all new Tial GT35R V Band clamp setup with a 60mm wastegate. AFI uppipe and downpipe connect to the stock header for now. To fit into our custom front bumper, AFI build this huge bar and plate intercooler with gianormous endtanks with a mirror finished. They created custom intercooler piping which will lead to the future production piece. Connecting it all together is the Wrestling Belt, in your face, so shiny you could brush your teeth, Intake Manifold.
This manifold features CNC machined flanges, high quality aluminum tubing, fine welds, and is so beefy it makes you excited for the power about to happen. Don’t worry VR fans, this will be on the shelves soon for sale!
Stay tuned for more pictures, updates, and reviews as our 2008 Subaru WRX Wagon debuts at the big show Oct 30 – Nov 2.

That intake plenum is pure hotness.
Nice.
We finish up the last touches for the car today and it looks SICK! like a mini touring car/tarmac attack rally car. Will turn some heads for sure. The 08 has a lot of potential, the 08STI will be SICK!
I want a ride in this beast!
If it’s still there I’m going to check it out tomorrow.
The car left yesterday for SEMA, but should be back next friday/saturday, and I’m sure there will be a lot of pics on the internet! I was looking at some of the 5AXIS cars for sema and they are sick!
LOOKS SICK!!!! Feelin it [thumbup]
Nice R34 on the lift behind it too
Cobb tuning posted their 08 sema car on Nasioc… looks ok i guess but nothing like this. Kind of difficult to do anything when there are no exterior mods except for rims available yet even in japan
