Today I had the chance to do some more work on our VR Flash for the 2008 WRX. The car came into us with the following modifications already done:
Turbo Back Exhuast
Cold Air Intake
Agency Power BOV
Agency Power Lightweight Crank Pulley
That is it. Still factory small turbo and factory intercooler. The gains we say today were with JUST tuning alone, no other parts were added during the testing.
By raising the boost to a very safe 16psi and adjusting timing and fueling accordingly we came up with some fantastic results. We also eliminate the Closed Loop to Open Loop transition so the car is running much safer than it was even when stock.
As you can see the car picked up 42 ft/lbs of peak torque!! In some areas you can see where the car gained close to 80ft/lbs!!! It also gained a solid 10hp at peak and close to 40-50hp in the mid-range!!
