Due to popular demand, MRT has developed another full cat-back exhaust system for the 2020+ Ford Explorer ST. As you may recall, the first system it released was the MRT Extreme Cat-Back Exhaust, which delivers maximum performance and an aggressive tone with minimal drone. The new MRT Interceptor Cat-Back Exhaust is aimed at those who are looking for a milder tone, but still one that will grab your attention. True to MRT form, this system is also handcrafted right here in the USA in Plymouth, MI from premium quality T304 stainless steel. The system has also been mandrel-bent to deliver the best performance and sound possible.

What makes it a full-catback system, you may ask. Well, MRT designed lead tubes to connect to the factory downpipes for a true 2.5-inch exhaust. Such provides a deeper and fuller sound with enhanced performance benefits. This system should fit other aftermarket downpipes, provided their fitment allows for the same OEM attachment points. Another key component to producing such a tantalizing soundtrack for your EcoBoost engine is the H-pipe. This is the best option for balanced flow and performance, without adding that harsh, raspy tone that produces an annoying drone.

The MRT Interceptor Cat-Back Exhaust for the Ford Explorer ST offers a polished upgrade over stock. It provides a well-balanced, sporty tone that wakes up under aggressive acceleration and becomes more refined when cruising around town or on the freeway. Packed with the MRT Drone Management System (DMS), this complete cat-back exhaust produces optimum cabin comfort for the whole family, which comes in handy during those long weekend getaways. If you are looking for a system that offers enhanced performance with a sound that is noticeably louder than stock without being over the top, the Interceptor Series is the way to go.

The MRT Interceptor system for the sixth-gen Explorer ST checks all of the boxes; it’s a true “Show and Go” exhaust. It is handcrafted from high-quality stainless steel in 2.5-inch tube diameter from the downpipe through the exhaust mid-center and exits the rear bumper with 4-inch quad tips for a stylish exit. Choose from polished tips for a more classic look or black exhaust tips for a bolder rear appearance. The system’s larger exhaust tube means less backpressure which translates to more power defined by improvements in fuel economy and overall performance. Best of all, the Interceptor Cat-Back system for the 2020+ Ford Explorer ST requires no modifications on your SUV for installation – simply remove the old system and replace it with a new and shiny MRT cat-back system.
