aFe is pleased to announce its two new Momentum HD Cold Air Intake systems for the 2020 Ford Diesel truck lineup. One system comes with a Pro Dry S Filter, while the other includes a Pro 10R Oiled Filter. The Momentum’s unique filter-to-housing interface was built to include the largest air filter possible. The 9-inch tall 360-degree radial flow air filter features a 5-3/4-inch flange with either the oil-free Pro Dry S filter or the pre-oiled Pro 10R filter. Not sure which filter is better for you? Well, aFe explains that its Pro Dry S filter is best suited for street use, while the Pro 10R filter is best suited for off-road applications.
The former features three layers of synthetic media for maximum convenience. Its progressive layering provides great filtration efficiency and dust-holding capacity, while not requiring the use of any oils. The latter boasts ten layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media for the ultimate in performance and filtration properties. The inverted top and large surface area offer a much longer life between servicing, while the reinforced metal delivers maximum strength to prevent filter collapse.

This system boasts a unique and smooth one-piece sealed housing. The patented filter-to-housing interface is constructed of heat-resistant and highly durable cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). This innovative design minimizes the total number of parts, making for an easy installation. A large, clear sight window allows for hassle-free filter inspection for added convenience, without having to disassemble the system. The housing also incorporates factory air scoop inlets, using no additional hardware, and features an optional auxiliary air inlet that pulls in more air. Stainless steel T-bolt clamps and a silicone coupling are used for added strength and longevity.
The aFe Momentum HD Cold Air Intake system features a high-quality, computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube in order to achieve the maximum power gains possible, all while maintaining a perfect fitment. All Momentum HD cold air intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and seamless installation process. Once the system is installed, the air filter can be easily removed from the housing for maintenance by simply uninstalling just the intake tube.
