New Agency Power F8X S55 Air-to-Water Intercooler Now Available!

One of the biggest challenges for any forced induction system is heat. As air becomes compressed, it heats up. Hot air is less dense than cold air and hot air is much more likely to cause detonation which is very harmful for your engine.

The job of the intercooler is to take the compressed air from the turbocharger and cool it down to a reasonable temperature. It’s also important for the intercooler to do this, even under sustained load. Many OEM intercoolers are built to a cost and don’t offer the best performance, and the BMW S55 is no different.

The OEM intercooler isn’t terrible, but it’s not as efficient as it could be and it struggles with heat soak under hard driving conditions. Once the intercooler is heat soaked, the compressed air entering the engine is very hot, and the car makes less power. This is common if you live in a hot climate or you enjoy driving hard.

To help keep the S55 cool, Agency Power has released their new air-to-water intercooler. This new intercooler is designed as an OEM replacement and fits into the stock location. The larger overall design gives the Agency Power intercooler 61% more volume compared to stock, improving charge air temperatures.

Aside from lower charge air temperatures, this new intercooler also allows for a more aggressive tune without running into detonation. It’s also less susceptible to heat soaking which means you can stay out on the drag strip or race track longer without losing power.
Features:

  • 61% Larger Than Stock
  • Lower Charge Air Temperatures
  • Consistent Charge Air Temperatures
  • Reduced Chance of Detonation
  • Reduced Change of Heat Soak
  • Cooler Air = More Power!
  • Available in Black and Silver

Fitment:

  • BMW F80 M3
  • BMW F82 M4
  • BMW F83 M4
  • BMW F87 M2 Competition (S55)
