As you may have noticed, the FK8 Type R has exploded in popularity and tons of aftermarket companies have shifted their focus to developing products for the FK8. One of the first things many FK8 owners install is an aftermarket exhaust. Not only is it one of the easiest ways to gain power, but it adds a new dynamic to the driving experience by increasing the volume of the exhaust. Unfortunately, many aftermarket catback exhausts for the FK8 aren’t actually from the catalytic converter back. Alta Performance’s new FK8 exhaust aims to fill that gap.
This new Alta Performance is different than many on the market because the exhaust system replaces the entire exhaust after the catalytic converter for a true 3″ catback. The system will be available in resonated and non-resonated versions to fit your driving habits. The entire system is constructed from high-quality 304 stainless-steel for a long lasting build. To help combat that raspy exhaust noise that plagues many four-cylinder cars is a Helmholtz Chamber right before the rear muffler of the system.
All the way out back on the system is a high-flow muffler with an adjustable mounting bracket. When combined with the adjustability of the butt connectors along the rest of the system, allow you to position your muffler tips exactly the way you want. Filling up the rear bumper cutout is two large 5.25” slash cut tips.
