As soon as the newest generation Toyota 4Runner came out, it has been a huge success. The versatility of a comfortable daily driver with the potential to be an off-roading machine. Packing a 4.0 V6 in the engine bay provides enough power to tow and has proven its worth over the years.

Being that the 4Runner hit it off instantly many manufactures came out with various upgrades to improve the vehicle. One thing these companies overlooked was the cooling capabilities of the engine. Having a single-row core that is less than an inch thick was not holding up to the high engine load and low speeds that come with most off-roading activities.

The brittle end tanks on the factory radiator are weak and are susceptible to leaking over time. Due to the demanding nature of off-road, the engine is prone to heatsoak which can rob your engine of power as the heat is causing stress between components. Not only is the engine losing power, but the transmission is also getting a lack of cooling in these situations.

CSF recognized this issue and developed a massive aluminum two-row core radiator that almost doubles in thickness compared to stock. Stepping up from a single to a dual-core offers more surface area for air to travel through and splits the channels of coolant into two with CSF’s exclusive B-Tube technology which maximizes cooling. An added benefit of this radiator is the transmission cooler is being upgraded as well with the 4-plate cooler built into the bottom.

The CSF radiator simply replaces the factory single-row radiator with an elegant aluminum unit that is 100% TIG welded all the way around. Installation requires no modification and offers a full OEM fitment. To ensure the highest quality, each radiator is individually leak and pressure tested.
