Unlike some other cold air intakes on the market, this new HKS intake uses a full intake box to house the filter.
The intake box itself is constructed from high-quality dry carbon fiber. They designed the box to house the HKS filter and keep out the how air from the engine bay. With a duct system similar to the OEM intake, the HKS intake pulls cold air from outside the vehicle to the filter. Cold air is much more dense and less prone to detonation than hot air, helping your FK8 make more power safely.
