HKS is pleased to introduce its new Black Edition of the Super SQV4 Blow-Off Valve Kit for the 2017+ Honda Civic Type R. The HKS Super SQV (Sequential Blow Off Valve) employs a unique sequential valve structure and a differential pressure control system. Such allows for a broader operating range from low boost to high boost. What’s more, the pull-type relief design guarantees stable operation regardless of the amount of boost pressure available. The Super SQV will support new generations of turbocharged vehicles like the application mentioned here.

Now available in a new color, the Black Edition features a body and upper part painted in a glossy black finish and a funnel with grainy crystal black paint. The HKS Super SQV kit maximizes the charge response that repeats pressure charging and pressurized air relief by the throttle on and off. It also supports new turbocharged models by ensuring stable actuation through adopting HKS’s own sequential valve structure and special pull-type relief design. 

Meanwhile, typical push-type blow off valves require spring load settings for each vehicle application. If the spring load setting is too low, the valve may leak under high boost and the desired boost setting may not be reached. If the spring load setting is too strong, it may not open at low boost. The Super SQV, however, will operate under any boost pressure setting without leaking to deliver optimal performance.

Installing this vehicle-specific kit creates a uniquely sharp and high-frequency SQV sound that will exhilarate the senses. What’s more, the SQV4 version is strategically designed to be located near the engine so the look of the engine bay is vastly improved.
