Turbocharged engines require an intercooler to reduce the temperature of the compressed air before it enters the engine. Without an intercooler, air temperatures would skyrocket. Hot air is less dense than cold air, and hot is more susceptible to pre-detonation. Unfortunately, many OEM intercoolers are very small and built-to-a-cost. The FK8 Civic Type R is no exception to this, making an aftermarket intercooler one of the best bang-for-buck modifications.

With the reduced charge air temperatures, the ECU can add more boost and advance ignition timing without the risk of detonation, ultimately resulting in an increase of 20wtq and 20whp.

Does the intercooler come with the logo name on it how can that be placed on?
It does not but a lot of people will make a template of the logo and just spray paint it on!
