Whether you love or hate the new EcoBoost Mustang, there is no denying that turbocharged engine under the hood loves to be modified. As with every other EcoBoost engine from Ford, the Mustang uses a very small turbocharger to create a torquey power band which makes the EcoBoost Mustang surprisingly fun to drive. One of the easiest ways to squeeze some more power out of the 2.3L EcoBoost is with a cold air intake.
A cold air intake works by lowering the intake air temperature and allowing more air through the filter by using a larger and more efficient design. Allowing more air to get to the turbocharger means that more air can be forced into the engine and when more fuel is adding the result is more horsepower.
