Although BMW’s turbocharged engines are well known for being extremely strong and durable, there are components attached to the engine which aren’t so strong. The OEM charge pipes, in particular, are made of plastic, and they’re not designed to hold up to high boost levels. This isn’t a problem assuming your car is stock, but once you turn the boost up its only a matter of time before the OEM charge pipes fail. Luckily, Evolution Racewerks has a solution with their new BMW B46/B48 charge pipe kit!
These new charge pipes from Evolution Racewerks are made from high-grade aluminum piping with tig welds. On top of using a much stronger material, these charge pipes have smooth bends and minimal obstructions to ensure the best possible flow. The results? Better throttle response and decreased turbocharger lag. This charge pipe kit is available in 3 finishes. It is available in brush (plain) or mirror polish finish standard. It is also available in a Type III Hard Black Anodizing for the stealthy, factory look.

Each 1/8″ NPT bung will come with a plug so that you can run with or without the methanol injector. This is perfect for those who do not have the Methanol Injection yet but plan to do so in the future.
