New from Project Kics Racing Gear is their Racing Composite R40 iCONCIX 17mm hex Lug nuts. Made from SCM435 Alloy to keep things lightweight but extremely high strength. The R40 iCONIX is the evolution of the R40 that was the first lug nut to introduce the two-piece construction. The unique floating seat design allows for the consistent torque retention which means it has a less chance of becoming loose. It also enables the lug nuts to be properly torqued without marring the finish of the wheel. Each lug nut has holes on the upper hex section for weight reduction while retaining rigidity, and weighs a mere 1.6 ounces which is 40% lighter then a standard OE lug nut. The R40 iCONIX includes black high-endurance resin caps for a cleaner closed-end appearance, or can be removed for an opened-end look which may also be necessary when using extended wheel studs.
