New VR900 Porsche Build aka SOFASTIBLACKOUT

While we were finishing up our VR900 Tiptronic 997 Turbo Cab (View Blog Post), we began this coupe version with the identical powertrain kit. As you may have saw or read, this package made a very strong 788awhp on the AWD Mustang Dyno at only 1.5bar. This coupe version should be equally as strong and slightly higher numbers based upon tire trip. The car came to us from Lousiana sporting these Volk TE37 Time Attack wheels with Michelin PS2 (other car had high mileage, worn Pirelli). The cars baseline will not be in the stock form as it had the VRTuned OBDII ECU Flash, Agency Power exhaust, headers, and quad tips.

If you dont want to read the simple version, then view all the details of the VR900 kit and Tiptronic tranny build on these links.

Basically the upgrade removes the factory VTG turbos and installs Garrett GT3076rs turbos. We use the 4inch compressor housing with anti surge inlet. The turbos have a .63a/r and are fitted with either Tial or Turbosmart wastegates. The Agency Power stainless steel headers feature a merged collector designed to give the turbos the ultimate flow it needs. The major works is in the engine bay starting from the plenum and throttle body upgrade and continuing a full 3inch diameter with the YPipe and intercooler outlets. We add 76lb injectors coupled with the VRTuned OBDII ECU Flash which gives the car its power based on boost controlled by the Greddy boost controller. Fender intakes over the intercoolers feed air to the turbo chargers.

The transmission upgrade includes additional clutch discs in the K2 and K3 sections to help keep the disc material in contact. Upgraded solenoids, enhanced torque converter, and a TCU flash make the tranny hold and deliver this wild power.

This project is halfway underway but check out the pictures and stay tuned for dyno results and video here – https://www.vividracing.com/blog/cate…ject-not-ours/

Got everything together and finished it up! And we have powa! 705awhp at 1.4bar 93oct on a Mustang Dyno BTW I did take it out with a VBox and the best 0-60 I could do was 4.02sec and the best 0-100 I did was 7.6sec. Because of the larger GT30 turbos, you do forfit some lowend for a insane mid to top end gain. I did try a 60-130 but just as I was about to go, 2 friendly officers showed up in the area. Good thing I was not going yet. So I thought I would save that for the customer!
