The use of magnesium results in a lighter and stronger caliper compared to the standard forged aluminum caliper. The two piece design increases strength further by reducing the chance of cracking from extreme heat compared to a Monoblock caliper. Combined with the traditional lightweight two-piece sun-cut rotor from WP Pro, this new brake kit offers an unparalleled level of performance.
Other than the magnesium construction, the caliper is similar to WP Pro’s existing EX8 calipers which provide fantastic stopping power and pedal feel thanks to the eight piston design. They offer the rotors in a 400x36mm size, which provides fantastic thermal performance. The large size of the rotors and pads reduces the chance of brake fade, and the aggressive pads offers superb stopping force.
