Now Available: Agency Power Cold Air Intake for Mini Cooper

Once upon a time, the Mini Cooper was somewhat Mini. Today in 2018, however, Mini’s vehicles are significantly larger than they once were, and although Mini’s are more powerful than ever, they’ve started to lose that fun-to-drive nature. They’re big cars with small, relatively underpowered engine. Although it’s impossible to make your new Mini Cooper smaller, it is possible to give it more power and make it a hoot to drive with some basic bolt-on parts. Thanks to Mini’s usage of turbocharged engines, simple bolt-ons have great power gains.

Agency Power has been hard at work developing and testing their new Mini intake, and now the new Agency Power Cold Air Intake is available! The intake is designed to work on both the 1.5L and 2.0L turbocharged engines, and the intake is designed as an OEM replacement, so there is no custom work involved for installation. The filter on this intake is not only larger compared to the stock filter, resulting in better filtration and better flow, but it’s also a Nano Tech filter, resulting in far superior filtration.

A problem with many aftermarket intakes is that they suck in hot air, and hot air is less dense than cold air which results in less horsepower. Agency Power’s intake is different, as it has a proper heat shield surrounding the filter which blocks out the hot air under the hood. The intake uses the OEM air scoop which directs air from outside the grills to the filter. On top of the heat shield, this intake uses a plastic intake tube which helps decrease intake air temperatures even further. The result from all this is repeatable power gains throughout the power band as proven on our in-house dyno.

On top of the power gains, this intake wakes up the car and greatly improves throttle response. This makes your Mini feel much faster off the line and much faster when coming out of corners. The intake also increases turbo noises, making your turbo Mini sound like it has a turbo, unlike the stock intake.

  • Aluminum heat shield for improved intake air temps
  • Designed as direct OEM replacement
  • Rotomolded intake tube
  • High-flow and high-filration reusable air fitler
  • Duno proven gains of up to 7 horsepower and 8 ft-lbs of torque
