As you probably know, the FK8 Civic Type R is one of the best front-wheel-drive performance cars on the market. The Civic SI is also a great budget performance car and has been one of the most popular front-drive cars in the world for decades. The latest 10th Gen Type R and SI both use turbocharged engines which arguably have more potential than Honda’s older naturally aspirated engines.
One of the best and easiest ways to squeeze more power out of any turbocharged engine is to increase airflow. With an aftermarket exhaust system, the turbocharger can spool up faster and reach a higher peak RPM, ultimately creating more boost pressure and more power. AWE Tuning is now joining the 10th gen Civic aftermarket with their exhaust suite!
This new exhaust suite includes two different systems for the FK8 Type R and two different systems for the SI. As with other AWE exhaust systems, the Track Edition is for those who want the loudest exhaust possible. The Touring Edition is much more tame than the Track Edition, but still quite a bit louder than the stock exhaust.
All systems are constructed from high-quality T304 3″ CNC mandrel-bent stainless steel. The modular tip design allows easy interchangeability between dual and triple tip configurations. Be sure to check out the video below to hear these exhaust systems in action!
