If you’ve ever looked at purchasing aftermarket parts for your Audi, then you’ve probably heard of AWE Tuning. Their name is pretty much synonymous with Audi/VW tuning. The exhaust coming off the turbo on the B9 S4/S5 is massive. It’s almost comically large. Even with a massive design, Audi still managed to make the stock downpipe flow rather poorly. We know this thanks to AWE’s testing on their in-house dyno. With their performance catalyst installed, AWE found gains of up to 23 horsepower and 27 ft-lbs of torque, which is quite impressive since you will still be able to pass emissions thanks to the catalytic converter being in place. Of course, you’ll get a better sounding exhaust on top of the power gain!
