The new Toyota A90 Supra is powered by the BMW B58, which is their latest turbocharged inline-six engine. The B58, like other turbocharged BMW engines, has potential to make big power with some simple bolt-on parts.
One of the easiest ways to squeeze extra power out of the B58 engine is with a cold air intake. While all cold air intakes may seem similar on the outside, how they’re designed internally makes a massive difference. This new A90 intake is constructed from high-quality carbon fiber with multiple air inlets. The carbon construction helps reduce intake air temperature by rejecting engine bay heat. With the secondary air inlet coming from the wheel arch area, intake air temperatures are reduced even further while also increasing total air flow.
The cone filter is made from a non-woven mesh material which is double layered and is ISO tested to ensure that filtration is in line with OEM standards. The result of all this is increased flow, superb filtration, low intake air temperatures, and ultimately more power!
