Do you hate having to be in your Mercedes to open or close the top? Do you hate having to hold down the open/close button for the entire duration of the convertible top’s movement? Well, you’re not alone. Luckily, SmartTOP has been developing solutions for this exact problem, and now they just released their system for the new C-Class Cabriolet (A205.)
This kit is a plug-and-play system that doesn’t require cutting through a bunch of cables to install. Just simply plug in the adapter and you’re good to go. This kit allows you to fully open or close the convertible top with just a touch of the button. It can even be operated from outside the vehicle by pressing a key combination on the existing vehicle key.
Besides these main function, this system also allows for the windows to be controlled via the remote control. On vehicles with keyless entry, the convertible top can be operated from the door latch.
The SmartTOP module uses a USB port which allows for it to be connected to a normal PC or MAC at home. This allows for easy software updates and configuration. Be sure to check out the product page in the link below for more information!
