Historically speaking, universal shock absorbers and steering stabilizers have been adapted to fit several different applications with minimal tuning. Knowing this, the Falcon team decided to take it upon themselves to rewrite the book on damper development. Its new shock absorbers and steering stabilizers were engineered to specifically meet the unique requirements of the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
Falcon engineers went all the way back to square one to engineer shock absorbers properly matched to their own lift coil springs; this resulted in the premium Falcon Performance Shocks brand. Built from the ground up with a focus on fitment and function, Falcon’s corner-specific Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers and Wrangler-specific Nexus EF 2 steering stabilizers deliver the best damping characteristics on the market.

Design Philosophy: “High-Value Performance” is the driving force behind the new vehicle-specific Falcon shocks for Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs. All Falcon systems are tuned for the vehicle’s intended function. That is why a different approach was taken when engineering truck/SUV shock absorbers than with Jeep shocks.
Tuning Philosophy: All Falcon shock absorber systems are tuned for comfort with predictive handling, control, and stability on-road as well as controlled steering during off-road driving. Vehicle dynamics must be considered when tuning the suspension to ensure predictable handling and a smooth ride.
Volume Optimized Damping: Falcon’s proprietary Volume Optimized Damping (VOD) features a digressive linear valve to improve vehicle feedback, stability, and control during low-speed, high-speed, and off-road driving. As the piston compresses and rebounds, the valve restricts oil flow creating a damping effect.
Zone Rate Tuning: Zone Rate Tuning (ZRT), found in Falcon’s expanded Truck/SUV shocks, manipulates the factory linear-rate spring tuning to produce three distinct performance zones with a more exaggerated spring curve to take on various driving conditions.
