One of our recent customers, Ray Stuessy, purchased and installed some seat upgrades for his old-school Ford Mustang. Although that piece of muscle is already beastly inside and out, he wanted a little bit more for the interior. He oped to go with a pair of black Recaro speed seats with a white logo and Recaro seat sliders without tabs. The speed seats are perfect for drivers with sporting ambitions who still want to feel comfortable behind the wheel. These seats feature specially formed shoulder support for outstanding lateral hold. The distinctive seat and backrest bolsters provide lateral support in even the sharpest of corners. The Recardo sliders are great for those who want for and aft adjustment on the Recaro seat itself. The sliders without tabs work best for those who want the lowest seating position possible.
Ray also chose a driver and passenger seat base from Planted Technology. These seat bases will fit any Ford Mustang from 1964 to 1973. Planted Technology’s seat bases are made from 3/16th inch steel, making the welds stronger and more durable than the competition. The seat bracket will therefore not bend or warp with heat like other brackets on the market. After installing the new seat upgrades in his ‘Stang, Ray messaged us with his feedback. He said, “All is good with everything. I am going to have these seats recovered with a black suede and use grabber blue stitching. Should look badass when done!” Looks like he is looking to customize his interior to fit his unique taste and we love that!
