As time goes on, turbocharged engines are becoming increasingly powerful, thanks to higher boost levels. With more boost, comes the challenge of controlling boost levels precisely. The smallest error in the system can cause boost spikes and break stuff, so having a fast, accurate, and high flowing electronic boost control solenoid is essential. The new EBCS Pro is designed to control modern high-performance turbos much better than OEM boost control solenoid. To make things as easy as possible, Perrin designed it to be a direct plug and play OEM replacement. Other aftermarket boost control solenoids on the market require additional parts and labor, but not Perrin’s EBCS Pro. The main valve body of the EBCS Pro is made of corrosion-resistant, nickel-plated brass with proper seals to withstand the temperature and oils seen in a boost control system. All of this allows the Perrin valve to operate nearly twice as fast and flow almost 50% more air than the competitors’ designs.
