Porsche undoubtedly makes some of the best sports cars in the world. The GT2RS and GT3RS being the fastest 911s ever and the 918 is one of the best supercars to ever exist. While all of us lust after those high-end cars, not all of us can afford one. For the common man there is the 911 Carrera and with some simple modifications, you can turn it into quite the impressive sports car.
One of those simple modifications is an ECU flash. This works by simply adjusting your engine’s parameters such as fuel and ignition timing. Here at Vivid Racing, we are huge Porsche enthusiasts and our tuning division, VR Tuned, has worked hard on creating reliable and powerful tunes for all sorts of Porsche vehicles. Depending on the type of Porsche you own, you can expect a 5% increase in horsepower.

- Tuned Power – 375HP and 310ft/lbs
- Tuned with Exhaust – 390 and 330ft/lbs
- DFI Stock Power – 385HP and 310ft/lbs
- DFI Tuned Power – 405HP and 328ft/lbs
More importantly, however, the tune massively improves throttle response. Off the line, a stock 997 Carrera S can be a little sluggish or slow to respond to your throttle inputs. The ECU tune from VR Tuned eliminates almost all of this bad throttle response. This will make track days, autocross events, canyon runs, and daily driving way more fun. Just recently a customer of ours order a VR Tuned tuning box for their 997 Carrera S and they snapped a couple of pictures to show just how easy and quick it really is.
