Although many enthusiasts lust after the Porsche GT3 and GT3RS, some of want the Porsche experience without driving a crazy track oriented car. The Carrera S is the perfect middle ground and with some basic modifications, it can be turned into quite a powerful car. One of those basic modifications is an ECU tune which adjusts the engine’s parameters for more power.
Vivid Racing’s tuning division, VR Tuned, has worked hard on creating amazing tunes for all sorts of Porsches. These tunes typically add 5-10% more power to your Porsche without sacrificing reliability. In the case of the 997 Carrera S, it bumps the power up from 355hp to 375hp. More importantly, however, it massively improves throttle response which makes the driving experience much better.

A stock 997 Carrera S has pretty bad throttle response. If you get on the gas to take off from a stoplight it takes a second for the car to react. This problem is amplified on the track or in the canyons where throttle modulation may be needed mid-corner. Luckily, this tune from VR Tuned gets rid of almost all this throttle delay which will help you run faster laps on the track.
