Porsche Macan S 3.0L Turbo Tuning Box Install

We have already shared the Porsche Macan Turbo 3.6L and Porsche Panamera S 3.0L tuning box installs, so now we have pictures and video for the Macan S 3.0L Turbo.  The Panamera and Macan S have the identical engine.  There are a couple things to make sure of when you are installing the Tuning Box Kit.

  1. You must have a solid power source.  Use the factory positive and negative terminals.
  2. The connectors for boost, manifold, and camshaft are factory Bosch connectors. They have a flat on both the male and female ends that must line up.  Make sure these are the same orientation and the connectors are all the way plugged in.
  3. It is recommended to use the USA drivers side camshaft sensor instead of the PDF instructions USA passenger side sensor.  Watch video for explanation.
  4. Make sure when you are installing and unplugging sensors that the car is completely off or it will throw codes.

Its the same engine so should be identical even with the 3.6. Here are some photos from a customer with the GTS 3.6L https://www.vrtuned.com/blog/porsche-cayenne-gts-3-6l-turbo-tuning-box-installed/

    Hi Dan,

Where did you source that bolt on top of the positive battery terminal for the power connection? Generic? Size?

You can find a bolt at any local hardware store or automotive parts shop. Believe it was an M8 bolt, but I would check the threading beforehand.
