The Porsche Panamera is either people’s favorite sedan or hated extremely by others with the styling of what should be left to the 911. For us, we actually love the Panamera having built our Project Panamera Turbo. This customer brought us his sleek black Panamera S to get some modifications done to what we would call a stage 2. Equipped with a 400 horsepower, 4.8L V8 engine, you can still improve performance to surpass the GTS power level. This particular 970 Panamera we did the Meisterschaft axle back exhaust which features improved exhaust flow from the redesigned mufflers. The tips are finished in a matte black powdercoat which goes excellent with his vehicle scheme already. Like most cars, improving the air intake system can have its benefits and the 4.8L engine is no different. Agency Power has a full cold air intake system which relocates the intake tubes to the fender wells. Each intake tube features a high flow Agency Power, cone mesh air filter. This air intake improves the vehicles throttle response, low end performance, and gives the engine a deeper growl under acceleration.
The final upgrade is the VR Tuned ECU Flash. The SDI6 Siemens ECU has to be bench flashed which means removing it from the car. Once done, the adjusting of the cars fuel, timing, and other parameters to match the mods opens the vehicle up. Gaining around 20-25 horsepower, the Panamera S has a noticeable mid range change and top end pull for those Autobahn cruises.
