The 2013 BMW M5 underwent some major changes. A whole new exterior design has been paired with a new engine for the M5. Previous versions of the leading “saloon” performance car included a powerful 5.0L V10 that put out 500 hp and 380 ft lbs torque. Today’s M5 has upped the power to 560 hp and over 500 ft lbs torque thanks to a twin turbo 4.4L V8. Needless to say, this car comes from the factory as a tire smoking performance car.
But like always, our goal is to take the M5 to places BMW couldn’t dream of. All of this will be done to debut at this years SEMA show in Las Vegas. We have teamed up with the following manufactures to develop and showcase products designed specifically for the F10 M5. Agency Power, Seibon, H&R Springs, SSR Wheels, Velos Tuning, Eisenmann Exhausts and Yokohama Tires.
First step of this project was to take delivery and get the car on the dyno. Our first runs gave us 477 hp and 478 tq to the wheels. After putting on a few more miles and hitting the dyno when it wasn’t 110 outside gave us our final baseline of 490 hp and 502 ft lbs of torque on our Mustang II AWD Dyno.
As with all our other project cars from the past and present, we will be releasing updates on progress via our Blog, Facebook, twitter and of course the Gallery, so stay tuned. The first few steps will be H&R Springs install, clear bra of the front end and installing of the blacked out grills and badges.
