Project Ferrari 360 Begins at Vivid Racing

Every project car we do at Vivid Racing has a path and goal. We strategically pick what we are going to buy and work to build it to something that drops jaws. When we built our 240sx Drift Car, we had a plan. When we bought the EVO X, we had a plan. When we made the jump from the 996 Turbo to the 997 Turbo, we had a plan. Now we have got a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena, and we have a plan!

During its production from 1999 – 2005, the Ferrari 360 really changed what a supercar was to be from the previous Ferrari 355. The V8 engine did 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. Revving to 8500rpm, the 360 pumped out about 405 horsepower. Our project car is the F1 electrohydraulic manual transmission. Its flappy paddles have 6 gears and an included auto shifting as well as sport button. The current top speed is 183mph in a long long straight away, but we hope to change that to what it can do in a mile, the Texas Mile!

Since we bought this car used with only 12000 miles on it, there will be some changes being made. One thing we will be keeping is the amazing carbon fiber sport seats. Our initial thoughts are color change, wheel change, suspension, make some carbon fiber parts, aero kit, intake, new exhaust, headers, etc. We want to flip the Ferrari community upside down as we did with the Porsche. Bringing in new looks, new parts, and new style. Creating amazing parts through Agency Power as well, we will also be working with companies such as Capristo, StopTech, Work Wheels, and more.

Our major power upgrade to the car will be top secret for now, but in Vivid fashion, it will be insane! Stay tuned to our Ferrari Project Car section here for all updates.

When does it get rollin? Can’t wait to see what’s up yall sleeves. On a side note. I was driving to work today and wondered why you decided to call your company vividracing when yall started. In hindsight it’s a fantastic name, just wondering what your thinking was when choosing the name.

    That’s what I was thinking…who knows?

It is a sick project though. I am looking forward to you guys taking it to the max with mods and performance though.

I looove the F360,what a massive jump from the F355 when it first came out as well.

Cant wait to see how this comes along, gonna be awesome!!

I like the metallic white you photo shopped. I personally think you should go with flat black wheels, and then darken everything else out. It be one sick car.

Put a new Clutch Masters clutch in it and did the stereo. Will update. Really super busy here at the shop and needing that 20B RX8 out so everything is sitting low right now.

This would look sick with flat black. Is a Supercharger possible in the future?

That RX8 has been there for ages……….

  15. Danny EVOX says:

lol ^. It is a sick project though, give ’em that, at least.
