Our Ford Raptor Project Receives a Leveling Kit and new Shoes / Tires from Rotiform
We have had the Project Raptor at our shop for a little over a month now, so naturally we are getting the itch to start tearing it apart. The popular “first mods” for most truck owners is a simple leveling kit and larger wheels / tires. These two modifications were first on our long list of many, so we went out seeking possible options. Since the Gen 2 Raptor is a fairly new platform, we wanted the very best parts that were available.
For the suspension we were looking for a slight lift that could be implemented into the factory suspension set up. This allows for extra space in the fender well to accommodate a larger tire set up. Since the factory Ford Performance shocks are modified by FOX, they already are a performance orientated unit. To level out the front completely, we decided on the RPG Offroad 3″ coil spring perch collar. Build quality on this product was second to none and installation was able to be done with the shocks still on the vehicle.

Now that the suspension and ride height are where we need it, it was time to get the wheels and tires sorted out. Rotiform recently announced their new line of wheels which have new 6 lug bolt patterns. Our company has done a ton of business with Rotiform in the past, so it was only natural to try their brand new line of products. This new wheel is labeled the “Rotiform 6″ which has a 6 spoke design and authentic looking beadlock. The outside ring was custom colored to match the interior of the vehicle. These wheels mounted to a set of 37″ Toyo open country wheels finished the rugged off-roading look we were looking for.

We are very happy with the results of these two simple modifications. Even though it was not a dramatic overhaul, it did wonders for the look and appearance of the vehicle. Now it has a more pronounced stance with some very good looking shoes.
