Up to this point, we’ve had a lot of fun installing cool parts and having fun with our Project Raptor. One thing that has been missing this whole time, is an exhaust system. Previously we installed some custom turndown tips which dump the exhaust beside the spare tire instead of running to the rear bumper.
The reason we’ve had a stock exhaust on our Raptor for so long is sound. The 3.5L EcoBoost isn’t known for sounding good with an aftermarket exhaust, at least until Velocity AP entered the market. Velocity AP is well known for their supercar exhaust systems for Audi, Lotus, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, and more.
What makes their exhaust system for the Raptor special, is the Valvetronic triple x-pipe design. This system allows exhaust gases to either pass through the muffler or dump before the mufflers. In both modes, the Velocity AP exhaust is arguably the best sound EcoBoost Raptor exhaust on the market.
