If you’re an automotive enthusiast in the US, then you’ve probably heard of SEMA. It’s the biggest automotive expo in the US. Japan also has a pretty big car scene and Tokyo Auto Salon, TAS for short, is their version of SEMA. With huge names like Liberty Walk coming from Japan, TAS is full of awesome cars. Here is are some of the cool vehicles and booths we saw on our second day there.
AIRREX makes extremely affordable and high quality air suspension kits. With widebody exotic cars being popular at TAS 2018 it’s no surprise that AIRREX brought a Audi R8 as the main car in their booth. Featuring tons of carbon fiber, aero, a widebody kit, and air suspension!
GReddy is one of the most oconic names in the JDM market. Becuase of this, it’s not really a suprise that they came to TAS 2018 with a ton of cool stuff. In their booth was a really nice R34 GTR, a turbocharged Toyota 86, and an absolutely insane Nissan Patrol. The Patrol featured a widebody kit and two massive turbochargers bolted onto the engine.
Mansory is well known for their elegant body kits for high end vehicles such as Rolls Royce Ghost. In their booth was a Mercedes-Benz G63 4×4 Squared in a splotchy matte black along with their body kit. This truck really was a show stopper this year. Also in their booth was a Lamborghini Aventador on Rotiform wheels and a Ferrari 488 GTB on 1221 wheels.
Roberuta is a fairly small company that createa a really smart suspension kit for high end cars. With how low many exotic cars are, the front end scrapes speed bumps or parking lot enterances a lot. Their suspension kit is magnetic, as opposed to air filled, and allows you to raise your vehicle 90mm higher than stock. In their booth was a widebody McLaren 570S and a widebody Lamorghini Huracan.
Vorsteiner is one of Vivid Racing’s most popular brands and they’re extremely popular all over the world. Although they are best known for their wheels, Vorsteiner also produces body kits and smaller parts such as front lips. At their booth was a BMW M2, BMW M4, and a BMW i8. All of which were rocking beautiful Vorsteiner wheels and aero parts.
