In previous generations of the Civic SI, the engine was different than the lower models, which was one of the big reasons to buy an SI. With the 10th generation Civic, the SI has the same (or nearly the same) 1.5L turbo as the lower models, making the lower models a great cheap alternative.
Honda did a good job getting power out of the 1.5L turbo, but they left some performance on the table. That performance can easily be uncovered with bolt-on parts such as an aftermarket exhaust. This is where Remark comes in with their new catback for the Civic Sport Hatchback!
By increasing exhaust piping diameter to 3-inch, the Remark catback exhaust flows significantly more air than the OEM exhaust system. The increased flow allows the turbo to spool up quicker and ultimately create more boost, resulting in more power.
Remark exhaust systems are designed to provide a sporty exhaust note which is louder than stock, but still quiet enough to keep your neighbors happy. This new exhaust system uses all the OEM hanger positions and features dual 3.5” slant cut tips, which fill up the exhaust cutout.
