RENNtech’s R1 performance package is the perfect entry level performance upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-S (C190). The R1 features their proprietary ECU tune for the new 4.0L V8 BiTurbo M178 Mercedes AMG engine, which gains up to 65+ HP and 110+ LB-FT, based on power numbers measured by RENNtech themselves.
In addition to the ECU tune, the R1 package comes with RENNtech’s stainless steel downpipes with 200 cell sport catalytic converters. The downpipes are designed and manufactured at the RENNtech Headquarters in Stuart, Florida. RENNtech exhaust products are ceramic coated to reduce heat in the engine compartment as well as combat against thermal stress. With the RENNtech downpipes the AMG GT-S (C190) gains additional 10+ HP and 15+ LB-FT.
The R1 Performance package also includes a set of two high-flow air filters for the M178 engine. This performance package increases performance to 611 HP and 620 LB-FT without sacrificing daily driver comfort or reliability.
