Scion FR-S R&D Project Fully Loaded by Agency Power

Our new Project Scion FR-S part of the “First 86” is far ahead of the competition including the BRZ tuners. We have been non stop producing parts to the point where many things are instock and now on our official Scion FR-S Performance Parts Store!  Expect to see some more dyno graphs and those incredible Vivid Racing videos soon as well.

First up is our exhaust system.  This is one that any enthusiast will truly appreciate.  The complete header back exhaust system is designed to be fully modular with the factory exhaust.  This factor is for many reasons.  Performance, state regulations, budget, etc.  Each piece can be used with the stock system or used in full.  Our twin 4 inch titanium axle back features twin shorty mufflers to give it a nice tone and save much weight from the factory one.  Since it is modular, it can be fitted to the stock midpipe or for those that want an even more aggressive sounding FR-S, we also have our Agency Power midpipe.  This midpipe can be had with or without resonators to give it a more GT track sound.  If you are going for the full race use, we also have our cat delete front pipe that connects to the header.  Being that this Subaru Boxxer engine is very familiar in its design, we were also able to crank out a new high flow header design.  Each one of these pieces is in the process of dyno testing or production.  We are excepting pre-orders so feel free and contact us with any questions of these parts.

Also underway in development is a beautiful cold air intake kit.  Focusing on improving the filter surface area and concealment, we have designed a intake tube to no need custom tuning and give you a more responsive throttle and aggressive engine tone.  As power increases, so is the need to keep it delivered to the rear wheels.  So Vivid Racing has partnered to build this very nice streetable performance clutch system with lightweight flywheel.  The complete stock clutch and flywheel assembly weighs 33.65lbs with the flywheel alone weighing 20.6lbs.  With our new performance clutch and aluminum flywheel, this  weighs only 22.70lbs saving you almost 10lbs right there but a staggaring 11lbs of rotational weight by just swapping out the flywheel alone.  Typically rotational weight has a factor of 3 so that is 33lbs saved giving your engine quicker throttle response to rev out quicker.

Other parts that are instock and ready to go from Agency Power are:

  • Rear adjustable sway bar
  • Rear aluminum double adjustable control arms
  • Rear adjustable sway bar links
  • Billet shorty antennas
  • 6speed billet aluminum shift knobs

With a couple more tidbits underway that are top secret, we look forward to sharing these further on our official Scion FR-S Project Car Development Here.  Any questions, contact one of our Scion FR-S experts at 1.480.966.3040 or email sales@vividracing.com. Hi, I have a fr-s and it’s Taking forever for people to come out out with performance parts and I was wandering where I could buy some of these parts, if I can?

We will get the exhaust and headers online asap!

Why is there a huge “kink” on your exhaust around the diff? It seems like the “kink” could be a lot smaller/straighter and still avoid the diff. Also any chance you guys are considering making a single outlet exhaust to save on weight. I know the racing community will probably appreciate that more.

Keep up the great work guys!

We have not decided on a single exit exhaust system yet.

I like the twin exhaust and I really do not think it would look right having just a single exhaust. Just my humble opinion.
I don’t own a FR-S yet, but I am thinking about it and I am looking at performance mods for it.
