Takeda’s latest product offering for the tuner community is the Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust for the 2014-2018 Mazda 3. This cat-back exhaust system is constructed from 2-1/2″ mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing. It is 100 percent MIG-welded for race-proven strength and resilience. This cat-back system also includes dual 4-1/2″ diameter black polished 304 stainless steel clamp-on exhaust tips that sport a laser-etched Takeda logo for a nice touch.

A mitered merge collector is used to minimize turbulence and increase exhaust velocity to deliver added horsepower and torque, as well as improve the throttle response. On the dyno, the Takeda cat-back system for the Mazda 3 demonstrated gains of up to 5 horsepower and 7 pound-feet of torque. What’s more, this system emits a deep and throaty exhaust note out of its high-flow 304 stainless steel muffler. 

The Takeda Cat-Back Exhaust for the Mazda 3 was manufactured using state-of-the-art computer-aided design technology. The result? An exhaust system that boasts a custom, high-tolerance factory-style fitment. Some cutting will be required, however, as noted in the included instruction guide. Utilizing factory style flanges and hangers, this exhaust will mount directly on to your Mazda 3’s factory mounting locations for a hassle-free installation.
