The Porsche 992 Turbo is already a masterpiece of engineering, with its twin-turbocharged flat-six delivering breathtaking performance and razor-sharp handling. But when paired with an aftermarket exhaust, the experience is elevated to an entirely new level. The upgraded system not only unlocks a deeper, more aggressive sound that brings the car to life, but also sharpens throttle response and enhances overall performance. What is already a world-class supercar becomes even more visceral and personal, turning every drive into an event.
5.) Armytrix

If you’re looking to give your Porsche 992 a serious upgrade, then this system may be the one for you. This isn’t just about looks; it’s about real performance. We’re talking about a noticeable boost in power, especially in that sweet low to mid rev range where you really want it. Plus, it’s lighter than the stock muffler, so you’re shedding some weight while you’re at it. The sound? Dare i say, game changer. You’ll get that deep, sporty growl that makes your heart race, while also keeping those annoying frequencies at bay during those critical RPMs. It’s a balance that’s hard to find, but ARMYTRIX nailed it. What sets this system apart is the clever “Throttle Pedal Sensor and Engine RPM Signal Auto Functions.” It’s a mouthful, but what it means for you is a better launch without sacrificing backpressure. The valves close at low RPMs and then open up when you’re pushing it, letting that engine breathe and perform like it should. You can even customize when those valves open and close based on your gas pedal pressure and RPMs. It’s a neat feature that really puts you in control. When you flip the switch to race mode, get ready for the real fun. The gas flows through straight pipes, and trust me, that’s where you’ll hear the loudest, most exhilarating sound you’ve ever experienced in your ride. It’s pure adrenaline, and you’ll feel the performance gains as soon as you hit the throttle.
4.) Valvetronic Designs

At the end of the day, the 992 platform is the performance car benchmark. Being amazing at every task is no small feat, but just like all turbo Porsches, you can always add a little more to the sound department. Valvetronic saw the challenge and took it head on, with a sport and race configuration of this exhaust system. When the valves are opened, the exhaust gas passes unrestricted through the x pipe and out so you get the most raw and aggressive sound characteristics. The free-flow nature of the exhaust system makes your 992 sound like a 917 ripping by on the racetrack. This exhaust system truly brings the magic out of the platform. When running in the valves closed mode, sound passes through our quad-chambered muffler in order to lower sound levels significantly.
3.) Fi Exhaust

Fi designed this system with valvetronic technology to control airflow, sound volume and enhance the overall performance and torque. On average, Fi’s system shows about a 5-10% increase in horsepower when compared to the 992’s stock exhaust system. The unique sound and performance for FI’s 992 Turbo exhaust system is achieved through individually designed muffler internals that are fabricated to offer an ultimate driving experience. When valves are closed exhaust gasses are routed through the muffler resulting in a low-profile comfortable drive. However, when the valves are fully open that flat 6 motor that we all know and love SCREAMS. Exhaust system is available for both OPF/Non-OPF vehicles.
2.) Akrapovic

All of the knowledge and experience from Akrapovic engineers was poured into this outstanding system. Made out of lightweight titanium, the system uses complex parts meticulously crafted using the in-house titanium foundry in Stuggart, Germany, to offer perfect acoustics that compliment the 992’s design. One thing i really love about akrapovic is how deep their wording is. I’m going to read this off of their website, and I hope it makes you cry. An instant deepness prevails from the moment the engine is started and as the revs rise, and so does the sensory involvement. At low rpms the exhaust emits a deep, iconic flat-six rumble, moving through a powerful mid-range, which then develops into a rich, strong, and high-frequency acoustic sensation at high revs, perfectly tuned to upshifts, providing a thrilling experience as the higher gears are selected and exhilarating, race-inspired burbles through the downshifts. This system has been developed for use on closed-course competition circuits, but there is no compromise on comfort because the tuning of this system eliminates any drone or unwanted flow noise. When compared to the stock system, akrapovic notched a 22.5 hp increase as well as adding 35 ft’lbs of torque, all while DROPPING 9 pounds of weight. Akrapovic is known for their innovative designs, which utilize advanced engineering techniques to produce exhaust systems that are lightweight, efficient and performance-driven. The company’s designs are constantly evolving, with engineers working tirelessly to improve performance, reduce weight, and enhance sound. It’s an amazing exhaust system, basically everything Akrapovic touches turns to gold, so it would be a great option for your 992.
1.) Soul Performance

I love soul. You literally cannot beat it. Made in America, this exhaust is tariff proof. This is straight of Pennsylvania, ready to go your doorstep… or the shop that you’re having install it. Per their website: Soul’s aim was to increase the volume of the exhaust while maintaining a refined tone and level of volume, even with upgraded catalytic converter sections. With this exhaust, all valves are electronic so there’s none of those pesky vacuum lines that get worn down if exposed to the elements. The valves will automatically control themselves to the driving conditions you put them under. Now, exhaust drone is brutal, but soul customized a bespoke X-pipe muffler. Internally, this muffler is pretty unique. It allow exhaust gases to escape and become muffled in the surrounding packing material of the muffler body. With valves open exhaust gases are free to flow through 3″ piping with an x-pipe to enhance the tone before exiting out the tips. Exhaust gases still have a secondary flow path to essentially “talk” with the muffler, encouraging a fuller, more robust tone. Soul does some of the most extensive quality control on their exhausts. Every single component of the exhaust system is put under extreme conditions to see if they hold up, and the answer to your question is “yes, they hold up”. Soul always makes good products, and I definitely recommend them.

Do you need a new exhaust for your 992 turbo? Of course you do, that’s a dumb question i just asked. But good news for you, everything exhaust system you just read about is linked in this blog! And if you don’t have a 992, that’s alright, i don’t have a 992 turbo, i’m only 25, who do you think i am? But if you don’t have one, we have plenty of other exhaust options for YOUR car.
